babykoala:  Love it on the gold cardstock! Definitely looks elegant.

I feel like if you decide to go with the 1/4″ border that it would benefit from another color like the cream you originally planned on printing on or a glitter cardstock. I think either would give it a nice framing and a polished finished look.

If you were going with cream before, maybe try the cream as the background? I think cream might heighten the effect of the gold. I love the design of the invites but when I first saw the photo, I thought the gold was more of a tan, contrasted with the black. The cream might help it shimmer some more!

And yes, this does read semi-formal! 🙂

Technically I don’t think the 2015 should have the “and” in there, but they look great!
