In the beginning, I too thought of DIYing my invitations and having them letterpressed. A couple of local places that I stumbled upon were Affairs by Claudia in Coral Gables and House & Paper in South Miami. I ended up designing them and having them offset printed at my local print shop. (I'm mailing them out today! Whew!)
Another idea might be to post an Alchemy request for the letterpress job through etsy and see what kind of bids you get.
If you're thinking about silkscreening, you might want to check some of the Bees' posts on Gocco'ing their own invitations and paper goods.
Good luck! :o)

Hello all!
Is anyone else out there designing their own invitations? I have been stuck for inspiration. I really want to do letterpress but I haven't found anyone locally to work with. I know its expensive too, so I might go with silkscreen.
I also love the stitched invitations but I don't have a sewing machine, eep.
Has anyone else thought of doing something like this? What have you designed?
