I’m in the middle of creating the invitations for our DIY Destination Wedding. I’ve printed the actual ceremony invitation on fabric, using a tutorial I found online. My dilemma now is choosing accent colors for the remaining suite. I’m using a cream linen cardstock for the inserts (we’re doing a pocketfold) Our theme is woodsy and earthy, using burlap accents. The colors are browns, tans and cream
If you have any suggestions (on colors) please comment! I’m terribly indecisive and Fiance is stationed across the world for 3 more weeks 🙁

Check out cards and pockets .com they have an awesome woodgrain wrap! Or you could do a deep brown wrap with a opal or forrestgreen map

@robertsk1085: I like contrast so I say 2 or 4. 5 is too plain.

2 seems to fit the burlap idea more for me. 4 seems quite formal in the colouring and 1 is too dark for me.

I held up my woven “burlap” ribbon to the bronze pocketfold and it looks nice. I intend to use it as a bellyband (If i can get it to crease, it’s quite coarse and stiff)
thanks for the input so far!

My vote is for #2. It goes well with the colors and scheme you talked about. 3, 4, and 5 seem to wash out the invite, which should be the focus of the whole invite suite.

i like #1 or 2.
off topic but have you considered varying the print? layout, spacing and font style. it will look so much better. right now it’s like reading a book.

I like the black pocketfold best.

I’ve already printed all the invites (there’s only 25 I think) To redo all the spacing, I’d have to go through the whole process of making the fabric “printable” (cutting, ironing to freezer paper,starching,ironing x 10!, trimming). The inserts do have 2 different fonts, we were limited on space & didn’t want completely traditional wording on the invites.
