What about something like:

‘please join us for the wedding of — and —” – simple

‘— and — are getting hitched/married! please join us on…’ – simply but a little more cutesy

‘— and — are tying the knot! the celebration begins on….’

There are a bunch of different options it really just depends if you’re looking for something more artsy and creative or simple and more straight forward. If you have any ideas of what you want it to look like, colors/theme and message, I could give it a shot in Photoshop and work something up so you could better visualize it 🙂 just shoot me a message if you want!

I had a small wedding and did my own.  I wanted it very informal, I said something like “Please surround us with love and laughter as _______ and __________ become husband and wife.”  Then the specs, then the dress code (for us, “summer casual… flip-flop friendly!”).  I recommend starting with a template, like on or to help you get started.  You may find you only want to change a few things from a template.

@chels_kiwipink:  The type of wording you go with is ultimately up to you and your FI. I wanted ours to be more casual and fun, but I knew the family wouldn’t like that.

I’ve seen invites that play on the ‘tying the knot’ theme by having a ribbon tied as part of the decoration. Several were really cute, and if we used that wording I would go with one of them.
