Does anyone know of a really good website that would list some wedding favorites? HOWEVER, I do not want any of those songs that have their own dances associated with them. I am concerned because while I think I have great muscial taste I tend to like a lot of music that is more obscure and possibly not the greatest music for a wedding reception. Thanks!

Try google. I am also having an Ipod reception and after I got most of my favorite dance-y songs in there I googled “top wedding songs” or “dj pick list for weddings”. I got a few for ya:
I made sure to make a list of my own first and use their suggestions as filler… makes it much more personal. Good luck!

Thanks Tee, they went into my favorites for me to browse through.

“I mean, you probably could’ve prepped your own meal or done your own decorating as well but you’re not doing that most likely so why mess with one of the most important parts of the evening…the entertainment? “
@djdamage: Hi, and welcome to weddingbee! Something you will learn quickly is that bees can, and will, do anything they want at their weddings. You’ve made several posts naysaying “ipod receptions.” I seriously don’t think you need to worry about disaster striking the couples who do this. So many people have the computer skills and unlimited music access to make an ipod reception work that any problems that could occur aren’t much of a concern.
At any rate, I had a lot of good hits on google when I searched for “wedding dj playlist,” “wedding playlist,” “dj song list,” etc. Project Wedding has a fantastic page for wedding music as well.
