When shopping for my sisters dress, we came across some purple jewelry that my mother suggested we get my girls. I took one look at the price tag, and said “I can do better than that.” On my wonderings, (I spend my lunch breaks walking around lower manhattan) I’ve been looking and haven’t come across anything. So yesturday, I went to pick something up in midtown, and while walking, I noticed all these bead stores on 6th Ave. I didn’t have time to stop, but a couple things caught my eye. Than I had an ephifany, or maybe it was the earthquake, (which I thought was the subway) I should make my own! It shouldn’t be that hard, right?

I am going to attempt to make my girls jewlery, and it isn’t a new endeavor. It is hard and frustrating, and I am about ready to throw in the towel!!!
If you have a tremendous amount of patience and all the supplies–go for it!! It is a good hobby to take up–just hard–especially for someone like me with no patience!

I am also going to try to make something personalized and cute but I get overwhelmed just looking at all the pieces so I am nervous to actually start putting stuff together!

My mom used to make jewelry as a hobby. I’m going to attempt to make my girls some jewelry with her help. I’d like to put more money into personalized gifts for them so i don’t want to spend a ton on jewelry that they may never wear again.
