I do this in our backyard and it is really lovely.  I suggest getting 8 hour tealights/votives, and not just the cheaper ones sold in large bags.  You’ll want your beautiful candle light to last throughout the reception.  Or, you could use LED tea-lights that definitely last.

@MayaM85:  The best prices I’ve found are SaveOnCrafts.com and the dollar store at about $.50 a piece.  I usually like to get these new so they have fresh batteries.
