@dreamer1288:  the picture with the straight dry hair is the pro picture? If so that look looks best to me

I like your DIY better. A bit more blush would be fine but the pro pic looks like too much IMO.

@dreamer1288:  Your face looks shiny in pro pic too which shouldn’t happen with pro makeup.

@dreamer1288:  Oh okay I understand they usually cake it on for pictures and so it doesn’t wear off through out the day but you have to go with what you feel most beautiful in

I like your DIY better! I did my own makeup and it turned out great! I would say more blush and more eyeshadow. And maybe slightly less eyeliner. Seems pretty heavy toward the outer corners

@dreamer1288:  The point of pro make-up is so that it looks goods in pictures. Wedding photography is a huge expense and it is important that the make-up holds up. A lot of DIY make-up is the opposite – it looks okay in person but doesn not translate into pictures. I really like the eye make-up in your pro picture.

I would just add a little something more to the eyes. Maybe something like the pro trial but a little lighter since you said you didn’t like how heavy it was. And you already said you need more blush. BTW, I think your natural lip color is really pretty. I would stick with just using a clear gloss or something.

I’m not a huge fan of MAC’s face products. Do you have a Sephora near you? Smashbox makes a great primer and Urban Decay has a great setting spray. As far as foundation, what are you using? It looks good, just curious.

For what it’s worth, I got my makeup professionally done and I hated it. Should have DIYed it.

The pro make up is too much, the eyes are heavy, the cheeks are heavy, the lips are heavy.  I think the lighter eyes you did yourself are fine because you have a brighter pink lip, but I would use more blush and you are set!

@dreamer1288:  Sephora gives you some lessons too. The only reason I don’t like MAC as far as face products is because they tend to oxidize and look very orange. Their eyeshadows and lipsticks are amazing though. Good luck!
