is it rude to get a professional make up artist come to the house to do my make up, my mom’s and mother in law’s and have my aunt who was a former make up artist for Mary Kay do the bridesmaids?
The hair is already costing 75$ per person so if I could save a little on the make up that would be good. Plus, I know my aunt will do a good job!

Well, naturally it’s not ideal, but when the budget is tight sometimes you don’t have a choice.
I’m in the same boat, as I’ll be doing my BM’s hair & makeup and have hired a makeup artist for myself (also doing my own hair). I definitely told them it just wasn’t in the budget, but if they wanted to have the makeup artist do theirs as well, I gave them his price list.
Same thing happened with the flowers at my wedding. The mother’s arent getting any, and I get the feeling it bothers them since my dad will be getting a boutonniere, but what can ya do…?

@Schat: I’m confused. You’re providing make-up services for your girls on your wedding day and think it might be rude? I don’t get it…
