So I’ve decided to do my own makeup for the wedding which is in less than 4 weeks! Ahh! Below are some pictures of a trial I did and I’d love any constructive criticism or comments. I don’t have any lipstick on so ignore that. I haven’t found a shade I love just yet, so suggestions on that are welcome too. Is it enough makeup? Heavier? Should I add false eyelashes? Whatever you think, I’m all ears! Thanks 🙂

@The_Future_KB: well done! Looks very natural. You Already have fab lashes but it wouldn’t hurt to get some if you want or a better mascara

My only critique was going to be to add some lip color, but I see in your post that you didn’t have any lipstick on! I like the eyes, you could even go a teensy bit bolder on the eyeliner if you wanted to because it might look different in natural or flourescent light than it does here.

I really like it. Very pretty and natural.

Thanks y’all!! I know the lighting there isn’t the best but it was really rainy that day. I appreciate the feedback! I can’t decide what color I should go with for lips. I usually wear kind of a berry shade, but since the rest of my look is very natural I don’t want the lips to be too much. I’m more of a focus on the eyes kind of makeup wearer. Lip color thoughts?

@DaneLady: +1. Otherwise, this is the DIY make-up that I have actually liked (and been able to see in a photograph).

You look stunning! Just add lip color and you are good to go!

Looks great! I’d add lashes, but I’m a lashoholic! I think a nice coralish nude lip color would look fantastic on you.

I think you did a really awesome job!! I would definitely reccomend false lashes. Not because you need them-your natural lashes are beautiful- but photographs really make lashes vanish so the extra volume would really ensure your eyes stand out. If you find a full strip uncomfortable to wear for such a long period of time try corner lashes (or cut a full strip in half) does the same thing and feels much better.
Also, I would reccomend going a little bit heavier on the blush and bronzer (if you’re wearing any, I can’t tell in these photos) than you normally would. Not clown heavy or drag heavy but just a touch more than natural because again the photos can really wash you out.
Again, awesome job you look lovely 🙂

I love it but I agree with the others false lashes would help make it even more gorgeous

Oh geez guys, I’m blushing over here! Thank you!! I think I’ll get some partial lashes just for the outer corner. Full sets irritate my contacts but I want the extra pop.
Does anyone know of a brand of lipstick that has great staying power that won’t rub off on FI?
