Hello and Happy New Year!!
I have been working on my makeup for the wedding- what do you think? I have also included a pic showing the rest of my wedding day look. Going for vintage & elegant. I’m very much an English rose- fair with rosy cheeks so I’m sticking with that!

BTW my stupid iphone won’t let me rotate the photos. Sorry!!!

@linnylou_88: you need a poll for..”needs more makeup”
this looks very “everyday” i think lashes would really glam up your look and give you more of a vintage feel

@Laurenskii: 100% agree on the lashes! I didn’t have any at home unfortunately and my lashes are kinda stumpy and straight…

I agree that it looks “everyday”. Also, from what I’ve been reading is that you need to apply makeup about 20% heavier than normal for it to show up well in photographs.

@linnylou_88: I think your makeup looks lovely! It’s very classy and elegant. I am a bit biased though because I hardly wear any other makeup than mascara. But you know less is more sometimes!

@linnylou_88: I think if you apply your blush a bit darker and add false lashes, the look would be great, because the bold lips are great! Alternatively, you could soften the lips and do false lashes and a much bolder eye shadow! However, this seems more “you”, so I would just do the first option. 🙂

Ok, so firstly, you are gorgeous, no two ways about it.
Secondly, this is more like everyday makeup. I do however, quite like the bold lip.
You need to conceal under your eyes, as even in this regular pick I am seeing darkness. This will be worse on the wedding day when you have had little sleep and a pro is taking the pics, so cover, cover, cover!
You need lashes. All I see in the pic is a line where I assume you have used eyeliner. Lashes are your friend and will make the whole look POP!
You also need some more highlighting and contouring with your cheeks.

@Olivepepper: @frommisstomrs.: Thank you so much for your comments! I’m 100% up for some lash extensions. My friend uses them all the time so I can practice with her. Looking back at the photo I do look a bit washed out. IRL you can see the blush but it doesn’t seem to show up very well in photos. I’ll practice doing that darker!

@Olivepepper: And thank you very much for your kind words 🙂

I love it! There’s nothing wrong with having an ‘everyday’ type of look on your wedding if you don’t usually do a lot of makeup. You could definitely try false lashes if you want a little more eye oomph, but it’s a good look without!
If you’re looking for a good conceal like PP suggested, though, I love the L’Oreal True Match Crayon Conceal. I have hereditary dark circles that are nearly impossible to cover up, but it makes a big difference for me.
Gorgeous dress choice, btw!

Looks lovely, I agree you’re going to want to give it just a smidge more. A couple of false eyelashes will pop! And I love the pink lip!

I don’t favor such a bright lip…
untill I get down to the second picture that is perfect.
If you look like YOU ! that is what is important.
