For memorial candle, do you mean something like this? As for vellum melting/burning, that would make me very nervous, I might suggest putting a paper sign next to the candle, or wrapping the vellum around a glass container to place the candle in, rather than having it close to the flame.
does anyone know? WHat about if i put the vellum paper around a glass candle holder? Will it melt?
@cobi: I put the vellum around a glass vase for stability and then used a flickering battery operatted tea light inside so I wouldn't have to worry about anything.
The Candles weren't turned on yet in this picture but it looked really nice and everyone loved the idea.

Hi, can some please tell me how diy memorial candles go when they are lit? How does the vellum paper go when it starts to melt/burn? Thanks!
