Would this be in the invitation?  Or at the actual dinner?  I feel like you could do without the top part (although it is cute), and maybe make the font of the menu bigger. I like the last sentence of the top.

@Chelsea0518:  Are you cooking your guests’ meals yourself? Or is the DIY aspect of this related to the printing of the menu?

@Chelsea0518:  What is the reference?  Like i said, I like the 2nd sentence/phrase, seems a bit boastful (for lack of a better word).  And please don’t think I’m being nasty as I ask my question, I genuinely am curious!  I LOVE the colors and the background.

@Chelsea0518:  OH!!! I totally get it now!! And I bet your guests will as well.  That actually is super cute! 🙂  I love Beauty & the Beast! Who knew there was a Disney dating webiste, that is pretty cool, in of its self!

@Chelsea0518:  OH I GET IT. It’s supposed to be the first couple lines of “Be Our Guest” from Beauty and the Beast! I think you should have some roses or something on the menu and mention Beauty and the Beast, otherwise it sounds strange and boastful.

@somethingaquamarine:  Thats what I was thinking, but I don’t know how she would do it without it looking strange.  I was thinking with each of her Disney references, it would be fun to have a little pic/clipart of where it came from.. How you make that look classy/coherent, I don’t know!

OP: Maybe replace the pink frame with roses? And add a classy candelabra on the top of the menu?

Something like this but without the weird pigeon:

And a candelabra like this:

I kind of feel like the word “Menu” could actually be dropped since each guest will have one at their setting and you have that little intro.  Also, it irks me that you’ve spaced and worded the accompaniments different (with/by, accompaniments have their own line/is a continuation of the description).

So I read the top part & just felt that it’s very… well, boastful, as some pp has already pointed out! Then I read the replies & realised that it’s a reference to The Beauty & the Beast & that does change things a little, as it actually becomes meaningful all of a sudden. I think you’re walking the thin line here – between the people that knows exactly where you’re coming from & those that will role their eyes over how “proud” you are over those rolls. Any way you can make it more “Beauty & the Beast”? The colour yellow, teapots & cups? The layout of the menu is very pretty, but it doesn’t give a way a Disney theme at all.
