I would get it wet w/ a sweating glass and see what happens. The ink running off when wet is the only thing I can imagine would happen if the ink is dry now.

I have bought a couple different stamp pads for different DIY projects I'm working on. I have a monogram stamp and plan to do the cocktail napkin thing, but I'm wondering how necessary is it for me to invest in yet another stamp pad (it's a bit of a mission for me to get my hands on supplies)?
Everyone says go with Staz-On, but I've done a couple trials with the Fresh Ink pad I purchased from Impress Rubber Stamps and there doesn't seem to be any problems with smudging or the ink running.
Has anyone actually heard of a real mishap using another type of ink, or Fresh Ink in particular?
