Honestly, you can call it whatever you want.  Your guests aren’t going to sit around saying “but it didn’t give me an automatic picture!  It’s not a photobooth”.

Many people do exactly what you’re doing.  It’s still a photobooth.

Even if you’re not going to have it print out instantly, I still think it is a good idea. People always have fun with photo booths even if they don’t get a copy of the pictures. I’d still enjoy it.

I’m planning on doing my DIY photobooth this way as well.  And I plan on putting the pictures in the thank you cards : )

We are also doing a DIY photobooth. We’re going to have an instant printing digital camera (kind of like polaroid-style) at the booth. Guests take their own pics and pin the photo along with a written message on framed bulletin boards at the booth. Would love to know if anyone else out there has done this. What worked? Didn’t? Any suggestions?

@MaritimeBee:  Hey hun!  Congratulations on recently getting married! Yay! (:  Please let me know how your DIY photo booth with printer worked out for you.  I really want to have one as they are SO much fun.  Could you also tell me if there was a certain website you used to help you?  I read about using my iPad, so I may utilize that.  Any information or suggestions would be so helpful.  Thanks! (:
