I am interested in hearing from brides about their experience doing their own photobooth. What worked/what didn’t? What type of technology did you use? Or do you plan on using? I really want to try and keep the cost down by doing something myself. Thanks!!

We are doing our own using a fuji film camera.. we’re hiring a friends teenager to snap photos during the wedding.
The cheapest we could find in our area for an actual photo booth was $1200, and we could have gotten one through our photographer for $900.
The cost for everything including track lighting, camera, film, props, backdrops & payment/tip for the person shooting the shots is under $400.

A friend of mine did an Camera-Phone Booth at her outdoor reception. All she did was hang up a sheet and provide props- hats, moustaches, giant sunglasses, cardboard “speech bubbles” on sticks, feather boas, etc.- and people would walk up and take photos with their camera phones. She also had an Instagram hashtag so people could tag them on Instagram.
