Hobby Lobby is having a HUGE sale right now (FYI) on their wedding His & Hers line. I can get 200 invitations, envelopes, response cards with envelopes for $40! Also, I have access to a free printer so I wont have to buy ink.
I want something real plain jane and basic anyways but is it really worth the hassle to print your own invites vs. having them professionally printed?
If you do suggest to get them printed – where is best (lowest cost) place.

I designed, printed, cut and assembled my own invites, so a kit would seem like very little hassle to me. However, it really depends on how much time you have and what your budget is. I think some other bees have mentioned good results using vistaprint for invites, but I’ve never used them so I can’t really say how good they are.

I made DIY invitations, I didn’t use a kit – designed them and printed them myself. It really wasn’t all that bad.. if you are somewhat crafty and have a decent printer, it’s really easy.
It sounds like you don’t care a whole lot about your invites, as long as they are pretty and simple, so I would say go for it!

Totally depends on what your capable of. I was going to do a kit from michaels but we don’t have a good printer so I was going to have them printed for me. Every where I called couldnt print on the response cards because they were smaller than their min paper size so we’re not able to go the DIY route

housebee: jenilynevette: Allyg: Great insight guys. Thank you! I have been shopping around and it looks like I could save a decent amount if I just printed them myself.
