DIY Program Making should be 9,000 steps, right?

Ok, here's what I've got on deck for my program making. I don't think I'm overdoing it, per say, it just takes a LOT of steps to get to the final program.

    I'm doing a tri-fold with a printed band.

First, the paper I'm using has to be the metallic linen so that the ink will stay wet and I can emboss my monogram when I print it out. Ok, fine.

BUT, that metallic linen paper does NOT fold well. So, I need to use a bone folder to score each program 3 times after I have printed front and back on both (approx. 300 programs).

Oh, but will the rest of the ink (text on the program) dry ok? I am treating the paper with Scraperfect which DOES make the ink dry faster, but the powder makes my printer sensor all messed up, and makes it super hard to feed each piece of paper in. Maybe I need one of those air blower cans for the printer.

SO I could clear emboss all of the black ink to dry/cure it, but that's a LOT of embossing, and then I REALLY wonder if the paper would feed back through the printer (since, again, it's 2 sided paper/program) Instead, I was just going to use the embossing gun to dry the ink. It's just that embossed helps make up for any areas of the ink that didn't look perfect because it's so damn hard to get ink to show up nicely on this beautiful paper!

So, I print, emboss my monogram in gold, dry the whole paper with the gun. Then, print the other side. Dry with gun. Bone folder each paper and tri-fold it. Print band (about 5-6 per regular piece of paper) and emboss. Cut, and tape around tri-folded program.

Is this too much? I have 4 months until my wedding and LIKE this idea, but don't wanna lose my mind either. I know it all gets thrown out and no one cares but me. But, I do care!

@talibear:  It's a lot of work, but if you work a 9-5 job you should be able to knock it out in a weekend or two! : ) I'm in the same boat with caring DESPERATELY about my paper products, even though I know no one else really gives a damn. But it gives me the biggest feeling of satisfaction, so who cares!? : p

You can do it! I've found with some of the monotonous tasks, I can knock out 6-10 items a night. Although I'm not sure how easy that will be with having to put away embossing powders, etc.

Do you have a friend or two that could come over and help you? I've found my bridal party is willing to work for wine and pizza. ;)
