We haven't made our programs yet but we're probably going to get the paper from either paper source or crane. Both of them have nice card stock made out of 25% cotton and crane even has some made out of 100% cotton that are probably very luxurious feeling.
Depending on how much you care about your programs/how fancy you're making them the staples cardstock is probably fine though.
Best online source - Paperandmore.com. I cannot say enough great things about this site! They have tons of color options, different weights of paper, and they're the best price I found anywhere. I used their paper for my invitations, programs, table numbers, etc. If you have the time to order from them, I'd really recommend it. The cardstock at Staples is fine, but they don't have as many color options, etc.
How about using a textured cardstock, like linen cardstock?
I ran out of time and bought a Brides kit from michaels. They are trifold with a pearl, and they came out INCREDIBLE. I printed them the day before the wedding with navy ink and then embossed a little symbol on the bottom and had our monogram at the top. And they wer echeap. I want to say I bought 2 sets (50 each) and each set was like 4.99

For all of you who made programs, what kind of paper do you recommend? I bought regular cardstock from Staples, but fiance thinks they are way too simple. Thanks, bees!
