For most word templates, you should be able to download the templates to your computer (I would save to desktop for easy finding) and then when you go into word, you should be able to start a new document from template. Then I would just do a quick test run with some regular paper the same size as your programs. You should be able to print the template to regular paper to see first how the pages print out - like what order or spacing the lines. Anytime I print anything - with a template or not - I print it to regular paper a few times to be sure it looks good before printing it. And don't be afraid to totally mess up the regular paper tests, better the scrap paper then the programs. Good luck and stay patient!
Ah yes, very pretty - I'm doing the "Gilded Frame" programs that are very similar.
Your programs are shown here on the Martha Stewart Crafts website:

Here, you will find the not-very helpful "instructions" which were a little tricky to find on the site:

And from that same website? TA-DA!

It appears to me that there is no actual printing on the inside of the "covers" - you use the tape strips that are included to attached the program pieces but all is printed seperately. Maybe you have already found these templates, but downloading and working with these helped me out a lot (on regular paper, of course).
I hope this helps. I just bought my whole stationary set the other day and it took me nearly a half an hour to find these templates. It may be "a good thing" but it ain't easy!
Enjoy!
christalynn- so my understanding is the actual outside cover you dont print anything on the inside but just the insert pages right? Then do you tape the insert page to the second side of the cover? That's what it appears to me in the picture but its a little hard to see and seems a little weird.
Lori - Yes, that is what you do. Unless you are printing something on the cover (a monogram maybe?) for the front. Don't print anything inside. Use the tape and line up the tri fold piece, (which should unfold like an accordian) and tape.
If you have any other questions PM me. I had a hard time finding this to come back and respond after the switching of the boards layout! :)
I saw the Martha Stewart Heirloom invitations online and am curious how they look in person - what is the quality like? You can't beat the price, it's pretty amazing! (they just went on sale) Thanks!

so I bought the martha stewart heirloom ornament programs and there's no tutorial on the website just a template but I'm so confused of how it is supposed to go because there's a cover and the actual sheet that goes inside but its supposed to be folded weird. Did anyone buy these or have you tried them?
