@lovelyduckie: But when you’re done, they’ll be so worth it because you made them yourself and they’re totally unique!! (I tell myself that to feel better about all the time mine take haha) Post pics!!

But yep. That happened to me with my invitations. FI and I love wood, so we got this wonderful idea to make wooden invitations! So we go get the wood, cut and sand it. So we’re playing around with it, and we just can’t figure out how to fit all the stuff we want to fit on a single piece of wood. FI suggests making it look like a book, with two bound pieces of wood. So we get more wood and cut/sand it. Then I decide I want to break out my wood burning tool and burn a design on the front then stamp something in the middle. So I do that, decide I don’t like the stamp in the middle, and decide to burn a design in the middle. Then we figure out how to seal and bind the wood. THEN FI tells me he really wants to burn a “<3 MyName & HisName” into the back of each one. So we are.

Long story short, it takes over an hour to make ONE invitation. We need 100. Luckily I’ve already knocked out 59!

I do that all the time!

I did my own invitations as well right from cardstock and printed all myself. Also went with a pocket fold.

Anyone that i spoke is not believing me that I have made them myself. They say that they look very profesionally made and pricey. So the comments are well worth the task 🙂
