I want to make poms out of fake flowers. I know i can buy foam balls at Michaels or Walmart but they are a bit pricey for the numbers i need. I looked on dollartree.com but they do not have the balls but in a tiny size. Im trying to wrap my head around making them from these:
I think the flat part would be a plus because i was wanting to hang them against the pews but also use them for the reception as centerpieces. Do you think this would look good? Have you seen anyone do this before?

I ordered 3″ ones from amazon, they worked out to be about $2 each. After I put all of the tissue paper on them, they are about 7″ wide now.

If you have an Old Time Pottery store nearby, they carry the 5″ foam balls for $2 each, they have 6 packs of 4″ balls for just a few dollars, and the 6″ ones are maybe $3? Much cheaper than Michaels.
