That’s a really good idea since they have nice lids! Now to get to the bottom of my candles. I usually get into new scents before I’ve managed to finish the whole candle and I end up with a million *almost* finished ones haha.

Love this! I have recycled the jars in the past, but am so doing this with the candles I have sitting around (and more reason to burn them – this is like getting the toy at the bottom of the box of cereal!)

Good Idea!  I just spotted a used BBW candle in my bedroom today!

Pop them in the freezer for at least an hour, then the wax will come right out with a butter knife.  🙂  Any remaining you can wipe out with a paper towel and HOT water or goo gone.  Labels come off pretty easy when they’re cold, too.

I used a couple for “wrapping” Christmas presents this past year and one of my friends was then inspired to organize a bunch of stuff in candle jars.  They really are handy.

@NurseMandie:  what a great idea!! I’ll be doing this with my candles from now on. Nothing like a free container!

@NurseMandie:  Yup, once it gets down to that last bit in the bottom it breaks apart and pops out when you freeze it.  My husband was amazed at my genius.  I had to admit I saw it on Pinterest.

i do the same thing with our empty salsa (or pasta sauce or whatever) jars. my husband wanted to toss them, but i wouldn’t let him because i can always find other ways to use them, haha.

@NurseMandie:  looks great!  reduce. reuse. recycle.

i do this all of the time.  i also like to spray paint some of the unique shaped ones to fit into a particular decor.
