My Fiance and I are getting married December 18, and I was thinking about possibly making my own christmas ornaments to hand out as the favor. I have already made a few testers, and will post a photo later, but for the time being here is a description:
I took a clear glass, round ornament, poured a bit of clear drying glitter glue in, then I took a Martha Stewart brand glitter and poured that in. Then I just shook the glitter around in the ornament until the entire inside of the ornament was covered with glitter, leaving NO empty spots or clumps, poured out the left over glitter, and tied a gold and ivory toned ribbon it with our wedding date at the hook. Our wedding colors are Gold, Platinum Silver, and Ivory, so I would make ornaments out of these 3 colors.
Does that sound too tacky? I would love to get some feed back!

It doesn’t sound tacky at all, but I would love to see a picture 🙂

Christmas ornaments are one of my favorite favors, because they’re something people can realistically use! I mean, who doesn’t want another pretty ornament!?
Assuming, of course, that your guests are mostly of the Christmas-celebrating type. Are you inviting anyone who celebrates Hannakuh, Kwanza or other holidays instead of Christmas? (I know some people celebrate more than one)

I think that idea sounds awesome!. We were going to have a December wedding and do ornament favors but changed our date to October. But know, that your idea isn’t tacky at all! Now if you put that red and green grass filler in there like we all did in kindergarten… that would be a different story lol
