Wow, that looks beautiful. Those felt roses seem like they're hard to make though. Miss Poodle likes making flowers from felt, you might want to get her opinion.
Here is the URL to her blog about making flowers. This might give you an idea on how to make the roses.

It's beautiful! Do you know for sure they are felt flowers? And not just really pretty fake flowers that are already whole and intact?
Definitely something to consider!!!!!! I am going to look into other fabrics - but I think felt might hold up best???? Definitely making a Michael's trip tonight LOL!
It looks like felt to me too! Maybe you can cut out petals, sew together the flowers and then sew them to the pillow?
For me, it would be easiest to have more control making the flowers then attaching them and when you sew them down, if they stick up to much you can sew some of them more flat?
So I started last night however saw the felt in the store & didnt really like it - so I purchased silk dupioni since it was a little roughness to it. Not the same thing as the photo but its coming along - I decided to go with a circle rather than a square ( feng shui thing) and glueing the flowers to a doily ( excuse the spelling) then sew two of them together filled with maybe moss of something to make it pillow-y and just cover the bottom with the dupioni as well ( not flowers)I still have five more flowers to work on and placing ribbon to hold the rings in the center flower where the pin presently is.
Considering placing swarowski crystals in the center of each flower - what do you think?
1/2 yard of fabric for four flowers - about two hours while watching tv & glue gun and bruise on my thumb from cutting out the flowers!
i think they'll be gorgeous! are you going to fill the entire doily with the flowers?
I think it looks great!! And I would definitely add some crystals or sew some beads in the center.
That looks so pretty! It makes me wish that we were having kids in the wedding.
Your flowers look awesome!! :) great job!!!
This is coming along so well! I love it!! You should post a flower tutorial on here, I'm sure lots of ladies would like it! Also, I think it is gorgeous enough as is. Maybe you could forego sewing the ribbon on for the rings, and just tie it on somehow so that you can use this pillow in your home afterwards, it's too pretty to put away!

I came across this pillow on a UK website & would love to dupliate it for our ring pillow. My niece is the ring girl, so I wanted to do something feminine yet classy for her ( also something I could do beforehand and not have to worry with day of wedding) Anyone seen any tutorials for this sort of project - cutting felt flowers? placing on a pillow? I was considering off white felt with perhaps some blue/shimmery brown ribbon intertwined in the flowers somehow.
Thanks!
