tin pail seems more luxurious with all the blooms spilling out
Out of the two, right now I prefer the one with the tin pail, probably because it is fuller. If it is within your budget, I would make the other one fuller and then put each of them on alternate tables.
I actually am doing (and am a big fan of) alternating tall and short centerpieces! Those are both great prices and they are both gorgeous. Why not alternate them both?
Inspiration for my Tall centerpieces

Short inspiration

@katieebee: So cute! Thanks for sharing. Are those flowers immersed in water? Are you going to make them yourself?
@ratana187: Yes, I'm making them myself!! FI and I had a very productive weekend and actually bought them yesterday! They are a bit pricer than the centerpieces you've created, but our guest list is small and we only have a few tables...
@katieebee: Congrats on picking up your materials! That sounds super exciting! Would you mind sharing pics of what you have so far?
@ratana187: I'm getting married in the Tacoma area too! I personally like the shorter version of your centerpieces but I'm not sure about the tin pale - have you thought about maybe paiting them? Might make them look not so rustic, just a thought.
@Shooozy: That is so wonderful that you are also getting married in the Tacoma area! I have thought about painting them..but not sure what color. My colors are charcoal and pink, but I do like the metal look, but maybe a more luxurious looking metallic paint would be a better idea. Tell me about your wedding plans!
I like the idea of alternating. They're both nice, but if I had to pick just one, I'd go with the pail.
I like the pail too. But alternating tall and short is a great idea.
Thanks for the input guys! I super love the pail too...but FI and BM's aren't crazy about them. I'm thinking I can dress it up a bit. Any ideas are welcome!
I'm really liking the fullness of the roses in the pail. Very nice!
Have you thought about submerging a rose in the vase, such as this (but, a different shaped vase)?
P.S. Here is a link that shows how to submerge the rose in the vase. http://www.ehow.com/how_5956673_make-beautiful-submerged-rose-centerpiece.html

These are very rough trials of my centerpieces for my April 2012 wedding at a golf course in Washington. Its an outdoor wedding pavillion (large fancy tent). Which centerpiece do you like better for my wedding. The tall glass vase with 4 roses will cost $7 and the short tin pail with 12 roses will cost $10. I may end up adding more flowers to make them fuller looking, but so far which do you bees prefer?
