i would look on esty for measurements. they have a lot of people selling them and renting them on there and they have the measurement for what tables they fit so you might get some information from there.

The length of a table runner should be 12 to 18 inches longer than the table-average woulod be about 15 inches.

Runners are usually 14-17 inches wide or about 1/3 the width of the table.

I would do runners for the round tables as well.

I’m not a fan of square overlays that are smaller than the diameter of the table.

 If you want to do larger square overlays they should have the same drop (12-18 inches -average 15″) as the runners.
