While ago, I did a mockup on my Save the Dates, and quite frankly, I wasn’t happy with them. They were a little too rustic, and not enough romance for me. Also I didn’t think to sand them before stamping so they were pretty uneven.
These are what they looked like :
They were super cute, but not what I had imagined, so I decided to scrap the idea and start over.
This is what I came up with :
I LOVE LOVE LOVE these. I also love the fact that they were so simple to make, but so pretty! The hearts are wooden magnets, and keeps with the rustic theme without being over-the-top rustic.
I am making 50 of them, cost per item was about $2.09 before stamps.
Here is a price breakdown for anyone interested in making something similiar :
75 sheets 4.2″x6″ round corner craft paper : $20.90 [etsy]
50 wood engraved save the dates : $58.90 [etsy]
15 yards white lace : $2 [ebay]
spool white twine : $7 [saveoncrafts.com or similiar]
50 A6 size kraft envelopes [not shown] : $15.56
Other items that were used that you may need to purchase are : scissors, hot glue gun & glue sticks, printer & ink.
