I designed my S-T-D’s in a couple hours and printed them on matte photo paper for distribution….I actually emailed most of them and gave my close relatives and friends the copies.

I don’t think magnets are tacky!  There are loads of save the date ideas on the wiki: http://wiki.weddingbee.com/Save_the_Date to give you some more ideas.

I would encourage you to look around for some inspiration, design something simple yourself (i.e. save the money unless design is really important to you) and get them printed on thick cardstock as postcards.  Or you can email them as well.

We looked around for inspiration and designed ours with my aunt.  She got paper from LCI paper (online) and printed on her high quality printer.  I will upload pics later : )
