So here is a link to the Martha Stewart Boutonnieres that I have been wanting to make for YEARS! I tore this page out of the magazine a long time ago and have kept it.

    http://www.marthastewartweddings.com/good-things/keepsake-boutonnieres?rsc=taxonomylist-a_flowers_boutonnieres-and-corsages&lnc=ed7d77c119b1d110VgnVCM1000003d370a0aRCRD

See picture also. My problem is finding the right mother of pearl shell beads to do this project. I have ordered from Fire Moutain Gems twice and they have not been right. It seems to be the ONLY site I can find them on. Any ideas?

    Have you tried craft stores?

It seems like I have heard beware of Martha because she uses things that are hard to find. Maybe you could try to find a necklace made with beads you like and cut it up. One necklace should make a lot of buttoniers!

Have you tried www.Etsy.com?  It's mostly handmade goods, but there are many sellers on there that also sell crafting supplies.  Perhaps they have it?

Another possibility- since mother of pearl is used in a lot of jewelry, what about checking out stores that cater to beading/jewlery making?  If you go to a mom and pop place, they may be able to find them for you and special order them (unlike Michael's and Save-On where they basically only have what's on the shelf).
