OMG! Dream shoes. Congrats, they look so amazing so well worth all the hours and hard work you put in!
Wow they look fantastic! It's helpful to know that sometimes it can be more expensive to DIY than to just buy them!
Wow, they look amazing! I love how the crystals catch the light and create different colors!
Thank you all so much! I wish I would have realized before I started this project how much it would involve but I am in love with how they turned out! I have them sitting out so I can see them and it is so fun to watch them sparkle. They are constantly sparkling too!
They're gorgeous! I love how you used the larger crystals spaced around the shoes.
I agree! I love how they turned out compared to the inspiration shoe!
I wore them for the first time today, out to the mall. They killed my toes, but I think that is just because I am not used to wearing heels. My husband said everyone was staring at them but no one said anything.
Wow...this is the second pair of shoes I have seen that were DIY w/ Swarovski Crystals!! It was amazing to see your step-by-step pictures! I agree w/ the other girls about them looking even better than your "Inspiration" shoe!! You Go Girl! They are beautiful & even though it took a long time to make them & more $ than you thought....it will be something to remember forever & to tell your kids one day!!
Oh for sure! Once the wedding is over they are going to be framed in a shadow box along with my wedding dress! These are shoes that I am never going to get rid of!
You did an amazinggg job with your shoes!! Omg how gorgeous!!
These look fabulous!! Here are mine, I made them today..shoes cost me $30 and the crystals cost me about $12, and in total it took me 2hrs to do my shoes...crazy easy and fast!
The majority is blue with the heels being silver crystal and then I have pearl crystal around the rim (quality of pic isn't the greatest)
I will definately be making me another pair real soon..in red this time I think

@cgoodbear: yep i love a bargain! just yell out if you wanna know how I made these....one of the bees on here found the same stuff on ebay so she was chuffed...and she's now going to make her own ;-)
@cgoodbear: oh and if you don't mind...i'm SO going to finish my heels off with your "I DO" underneath...I think that's the icing on the cake!!! Awesome idea
I love it!!!! so pretty!!! And don't apologize for pictures. I loooooove lots of pictures.

I have always dreamed of having a Cinderella fairytale wedding, complete with the perfect shoes. I started looking online and had found some via Etsy but thought that there was no way they would cost $200 to $300 if I made them myself! Needless to say I was wrong. In the end the shoes ended up costing about $450 because I had to keep ordering more crystals.
I way underestimated how much they would cost, how many crystals I would need, and how long they would take!
In the end it took me 36 hours and roughly 4,800 crystals.
I used all Swarovski Crystals from Crystal Rhinestone Boutique.
www.lovetocrystal.com
I used all Crystal Moonlight and Aquamarine crystals in ss7, ss9, ss12, and ss20 along with squares and baguettes.
This was the shoe that was my inspiration.
Thankfully I took pictures throughout the process...
These are the shoes I purchased online for $30 to crystal.
I started with an outline of the shoe in ss12 crystals. The bottom 7 rows of crystals on the heels are ss9.
The next 15 rows are ss12.
The rest of the heel was filled in with rows of ss20 crystals.
Next I took squares and baguettes I had and put them on spread out on the shoe. I tried to get them so both shoes match up some what but are not perfect.
Then I put a row of ss20 Crystal Moonlight along the bottom layer, along with ss12 Crystal Moonlight around the squares and baguettes. Then I started to fill in the shoe with ss20 Aquamarine.
The next step was to fill in the gaps and empty spots with smaller Aquamarine crystals so I used ss9 and ss7 to do that.
And here is the finished product!
Sorry for the abundance of photos! I was texting pictures to my Bridal party the entire step of the way. (I am in California and they are in Wisconsin and Japan.)
