I DIY-ed my honeymoon shoes.  I bought a pair of designer shoes off of ebay for stupid cheap ($30), bought swarovski crystals, and went to town.  Its tooootaaally doable!!! This pair is insanely sparkly IRL.

@Sunbeam-bride:  Thanks!  I use E6000 for the glue. Its pretty stinky, but its very effective.  I’ve used Gemtac but don’t think it works as well.  I’ve had more crystal loss from Gemtac than E6000.

ALSO, if you can, get the Crystal katana.  I got mine from dreamtimecreations. It saves a ton of time picking up the individual crystals and putting them in place.  Cannot say enough good things about it. Totally beats my original method of sticky putty on a pencil tip.

Hope that helps!!   🙂

I’m posting these all over the place 🙂

I did 2 pairs (heels for ceremony and first dance and flats for reception) for under $100 (the shoes were $20 and $30 respectively).  The crystals were from Ebay then I got glue from Michaels and a tool from Amazon.  I still have a ton of crystals left over so I probably spent more than I should have.  Not to mention I got the shoes from Aldo (on clearance!)

I did my sandals for dirt cheap. I wanted to be comfortable on my day and I know there is going to be quite a bit of walking. My sandals were $1 from old navy during the dollar sales, I had glue at home aready. Bought the stickers which are the tourquoise and white jewels from the dollar store which was $4 for the 4 strips so in total $5 and I know I will wear them again!

Oh my, you ladies are amazing! I can’t believe the patience that is needed for all of that. They all look great!! I love DIY stuff! We are DIYing our entire wedding decor, but we are doing way informal. I haven’t even thought about shoes yet…

@PeachSnapple:  I totally had to google the Crysal Katana…that is awesome! I watched a youtube video and it looks like it would make doing that kind of thing so much quicker!!!

@FutureMrsKelly2014:  I absolutely love those heels!! How long did that take? What kind of tool did you have to use?
