my lovely mum is going to be making my veil for me. it’s going to be a simple, one tier veil (elbow/waist length, not decided yet) made from soft silk tulle.
my question is, any idea what width comb I should get for it? from what I understand, silk tulle is not volumnous and should fall nicely straight down my back (exactly the look I want.) The tulle is 70″ wide. Should I get quite a narrow comb, or will that make it too narrow?

You can just get the standard veil combs at Michaels! 🙂
I also DIYed a veil and thats what I used. They are clear and it works just fine.

Oh, I don’t know what Michaels is! I’m in England. Really trying to work out what width comb I need. Thanks for the reply though

I would suggest looking for a comb about the same width as a credit card or smaller. The clear plastic ones work if your hair is not too thick, but if you have thick, coarse, or curly hair, I’d recommend the metal one for better holding power. Good luck!!

Hi! I’d also like to make my own silk tulle veil. Where did you get your tulle?
