I came up with the awesome idea of making my own table numbers from FI and my travels together.  We want to write a table number and the place name.  I have the digital pics, I have the font...but the execution has been difficult.  I've tried Powerpoint and saving it as a photo isn't creating the best resolution, and it's cutting off the tops and bottoms of all the pictures.  I have Photoshop (old 2003 version) but I have no idea how to use it, and on some of the photos, the text comes out really small (and 72pt is the biggest it will let me use).

Any tips/suggestions?  I love Mrs. Champagne's DIY table numbers and I want mine to come out like that...

Have you thought about getting postcards printed? Use the photos and get them printed possibly at a FedEx Kinko's.

I've been using Serif Page Plus for mine. It's an amazing free program and pretty intuitive to use.

I've been using Picasa 3 and it works really well.

If you want to use Photoshop and are still having trouble with the size of font being too small.. it may be likely that your work space is to large in pixels and/or inches. I would be sure you check the dimension under the Edit drop menu ... Choose image size. If you are doing postcard size you probably will want to do 4 by 6.

monalisa, THANK YOU!!  Picasa is PERFECT...so easy to use and the photos are printing crisp and clear.  The writing is beautiful and the pictures look as good printed as they do on my computer.  I can't thank you enough!  I thought I had tried everything and was about to give up on getting perfectly crisp pictures.  The photos have come out beautifully and I tried to post some but they aren't showing up.
