- Wedding: August 2014
To all of the DIY Brides, I give you rounds of applause!!! I had a few DIY aspects to my wedding that I thought would be simple and ended up taking more time than I planned. But now that it’s all over and I look at pictures, I’m amazed at how I even did them at all! Lol
Stationary: took much longer than I thought with printing cutting and ribbons (about 220 of everything)
So my tip?? Do as much as you can as early as you can so you are not putting favors together two nights before! Haha
I did my own favors to Help save money.
I printed and cut mini passports for escort cards. My invites were passports with boarding pass RSVPs (also printed and cut myself)
I ordered postcards from Amazon for my guestbook and used extra cards for decor on tables.
Overall, I look back amazed. Many trips to Michael’s and Dollar Tree, lots of printing and cutting, lots of time spent with a few of my bridesmaids, and money saved…I’m definitely happy 🙂
