This sounds like a good idea. I was planning on doing diy uplighting so I’d love if you post results/advice after your wedding!

You should be able to buy black or silver par 38 cans that the bulb in will fit pretty cheaply. Check cheaplights.com or other supplier.

I found this website that sells uplights fairly cheap 14.99 for black or almond or 16.99 for stainless steel thinking of using this for mine.
