I finally finished it! I was very much inspired by the work of Amanda over at Design Whimsy, but decided that I could make something similar for less. It is made entirely out of fabric, ribbon, feathers and vintage brooches. This only cost $65 to make. I can't wait to carry this down the aisle.
Wow!!! That is sooooo beautiful!!! What does your dress look like? Do you have a birdcage veil? Oh my goodness? Do you have bridesmaids? What are they wearing? More pictures!!!

You can see everything I'm doing for the wedding.
That is amazing...how did you do it? I've been a huge fan of that Etsy designer for a while now!
Oh plze plze plze could you do a DIY tutorial for us?
Btw..this bride has an AWESOME blog! I see myself reading hers for good ideas! She also has the cutest ever engagement shots!
For all you DIY'ers out there, here's some more pics and instruction before I put the bouquet together: http://stephanieisgettingmarried.blogspot.com/2009/01/project-2.html
Basically, I followed this tutorial on how to make fabric rosettes: http://www.ehow.com/how_4828196_make-fabric-rosettes.html
Then I hot glued the rosettes to wire floral stems and added into a fabric wrapped bouquet holder.
WOW!!! You've inspired me to do something different and more me for my bouquet!
Amazingly well done! I checked out your blog.... initially you commented about base ('cage' i think) being too small. How did you end up resolving this issue? Thanks!
@beffielou - I used a bouquet collar (see pic). I glued the fabric flowers to wire floral stems, then arranged the stems in the collar. Although I covered the collar with fabric because I didn't like the trim on it.
You are amazing!!!
I am trying to make one, but it is not anywhere near the amazing-ness of yourS!
hi, i am flattered that you loved my work so much that you decided to do something similar. Although, that is not how I make them it, certainly is an idea!

I did my own bouquet and it doesn't even come close to the beautifulness of yours.
HOLY CRAP GIRL!!! Your bouquet is amazing and I just looked at your blog----YOU SHOULD BE A BEE. Totally. Have you applied?
I just tweeted this project on weddingbee's twitter! Great job Stephanie! The bouquet looks absolutely amazing!
Gorgeous! I can't believe that was a DIY project! Makes me want one now!
GORGEOUS!!! That is all I can say!
I will now be a follower!!
So pretty! I would love something like this if my wedding was vintage-y. You should think about making and selling them after your wedding haha, I bet you would make a killing.
Wow, that's just about the coolest bouquet I've ever seen in my life! So creative.
