JoAnn's by us was having a blowout saile recently. I'm not sure how different their stock (or Hobby Lobby's) would be from Michaels/wilton.
You could always dress up the invites with pastel ribbon.
I got a great deal a few days ago at Walmart on my DIY invites. I found beautiful Wilton DIY kits (25 qty.) for under $20. They did have quite a selection for a low price. I'm using sealing wax in my wedding colors to seal the inner envelopes for added personalization.
@Future_Mrs_Williams: We got our Wilton invitations for $14.99 on clearance too!! I was so excited because we have a very low budget to begin with!
I got His and Hers brand invitations from Hobby Lobby...they are simple but really pretty. We are adding a yellow ribbon to it too...they were half off so each pack of 50 was like $12 (His and Hers stuff seems to go on sale a lot at Hobby Lobby).
I bought a month membership to One Heart Weddings, where you can download as many templates as you want and basically create your masterpiece! You would just need to purchase the paper on your own at Card & Pockets or Paperandmore!
We used Michael's Brides invitations for ours. Target has some cute ones too for a resonable price.
i found a great diy jacket kit at walmart in their clearance section 25 for $15. they were white with black jacket and i dressed them up with damask and fuschia ribbon and a monogram sticker. they turned out beautifully.
they have many simple, plain invites that you can embellish however you want in whatever colours that suit your theme. michaels is good for this too...especially with their -40% coupon.
I got mine on clearance at Michaels and I love them! It was only $60.00 for 90 Invitations, 90 RSVP Cards, 90 Thank You Cards, all with matching Envelopes and they look absolutely fabulous. The template is easy to use and you can customize them easily!
My favorite part is the RSVP cards are all blank, so if you chose not to use mail-in RSVPs (my FI and I are definitely not), you can use them for escort or place cards, or even extra lower-key but still similar style/theme invites.

Hi Guys!
I'm getting ready to pick out my invitations. Looking for the DIY kits...any recommendations?? I've already been looking at the ones Michaels and the Wilton website have to offer...any other good ones?? Looking for something simple, yet pretty. My colours are pastel.
Thanks!
