@lmsumins: DIY is worth it, if you enjoy it, start early and don't spend too much on it. This is from my daughter's wedding. :) I suggest looking at inspiration boards and starting one of your own. :)
Pinterest, all the way! :) I plan on DIY'ing some small touches, like at the cocktail hour I'm putting fun colored papers with instructions on how to fold them into paper airplanes at the bar, so people can throw paper airplanes at us when we enter the reception, (We're planning a ceremony/reception at the same venue, so the rice throwing is sortof null & void). I'm a teacher, so I hope it will make sense! I also thought about having a personalized MadLibs at each place setting and I'll for sure be making my own invites, centerpieces, etc. Plenty of time to prepare is the plus side of getting married 1.5 years from now! :) Can't wait to see what DIY ideas everyone else comes up with... great thread!

I'm doing a lot of DIY for my rustic chic wedding. I love personal touches and attention to detail. I'm just hoping that I can pull it all together.
Is DIY worth it? How are you pulling together all of your DIY aspects? Post some pictures and tell me about your DIY wedding! :)
