zencognitobee :  That’s gorgeous!!! I’m DIYing a very similar one (mine’s on wood instead of metallic–though I love the metallic). I just stained the wood to mine yesterday 🙂 Your’s looks professionally done.

I made this a while back ,  got the chalk board at Joanne’s on clearance and used stick on letters/butterflies that I got for cheap online…overall I think my total cost for this project was about $25 for everything .

I made these 2 signs! The first is for my upcoming wedding and the second was for my FI’s sister’s bridal shower. Both chalkboards were purchased from Michael’s!

tigress :  these are so amazing!!! i totally DIYed our engagment party sign by downloading a template on etsy and having it printed at office max. it ran me about 60$ not cheap but it was nice. i opted for glossy paper and framed it in a pic frame. not sure if i want to do this again. love these ideas!!!

sofabean :  I made a very similar sign using the same chalkboard as you in the second picture for our engagement party! Love those chalkboards, they were so inexpensive from Michaels!

Unfortunately I didn’t take any photos of the engagement party decor and ended up throwing away the signs because I couldn’t easily get the chalk paint off 🙁

BeeKittyC :  I almost threw this one away too because I couldn’t get the paint off! Lol. I tried everything! But eventually I just bought black chalkboard paint and repainted over the whole thing and I repainted the edges with gold metallic paint.

Here’s another one I did. The white frame is from IKEA and I glued some silk flowers on the corners. I painted a piece of cardboard with black chalk paint and did the lettering with paint markers
