I know my wedding is two years away, but i’ve started working on the flowers now. I invision lots and lots of flowers made from book pages, so I figured if I start now its doable. What I’ve learned so far? I’m going to be a hot glued mess by the time i’m done!

I know this an old thread, but just in case @jilleeann: checks this or anyone else knows…I started making book flowers, and was wondering if anyone knows if the paper will keep its curl on its own, or if there is anything I should do to make them keep their curl (the “petals”). I’m worried about them straightening out over time, but I can’t think of how to prevent it either!

@Magpie86: you could use a light spray starch on them, that may help

@Magpie86: My flowers are straightening out also, but not over night, over weeks. Its easy to but some curle back into the petals with the same method you used to curle them the first time.
We’re thinking of moving the wedding to Vegas and just having our nearest and dearest there, so now I don’t have to make as many of these as I originally planned.

@Bella-Bellini: Thanks, I’ll look into that!
@jilleeann: Thanks for letting me know about the curls, and good luck with your wedding plans!
