I am BROKE this year and so I am trying to come with ideas for cheap gifts that aren't just silly trinkets. More like DIY things or meaningful things. What have you done along these lines or what are you planning for this year?

I love the idea of making your own tile coasters, and you can even put photos on them to personalize it. You could also print meaningful text (like a poem) and put that on them too.

    Here's a tutorial:

Every year I make my special Christmas cookies, and these babies take a LONG time to make, so thats why I make them once a year! I buy really cute containers for them & give them as gifts. I've done this for the past few years & my friends can't wait till the holidays to get them.

If you find a really unique recipe, cookies are always a great gift!
