Wanting to hear from brides that are having (or have already had) a professional organise music for the reception, but are just having a cd or ipod for the ceremony?
Our budget doesn’t allow for both and we have already booked and paid for a DJ for the night, but now I’m freaking out that the CD player isn’t enough?
The ceremony is outside but what if it is windy?

Hi! I just had my wedding last month. It was a Destination Wedding beach wedding.. well it kinda rained so instead of having the whole event outside at the beach, we had the ceremony at the beach and moved the cocktails and reception indoors. We had DJs for the reception and used CDs for the ceremony. It was a windly day and from where I was waiting before my bridal walk, I heard our music loud and clear, it gave me chills. Everybody thought the ceremony was perfect.
So go ahead and use CDs, guests wont even notice it as much as the actual ceremony 🙂 Have fun!

We’re using an ipod for the ceremony 🙂

We have a DJ for our reception but are making a CD of classical music for the ceremony. We’re getting married in an old, restored movie theater and the sound system is pretty good so we should be okay.
I think recorded music is totally fine.

We have a DJ for the reception and I’m planning on using an iPod for the ceremony. I’m actually working on the logistics for it right now.
