I am looking for a DJ for 5-6 hours at our reception. I have been looking and most places are charging $1000 and up. Is this pretty standard now a days?

I just want the DJ to play awesome music and not really emcee. Let me know!

Yes, I'm having my DJ for 6 hours and it's costing around $1200, many other quotes I got were much higher!

I am using Richard from a Sound Exlposion http://www.asoundexplosion.com/Site/Welcome.html My wedding venue is in Alameda. He gave me a great deal under $700 for 6 hours of DJ/Emcee and Uplighting. I hope that helps...
