Hi Lynzee,
We are using Adagio for our DJ services. Our wedding is September 6 and so far they have been wonderful! They will do a phone consultation with you if you'd like (we live in Rochester, so it's hard to get up to the cities on a weekday) which I really appreciated and also their website, if you sign up with them is great. You can input what songs you'd like and wouldn't like played, the amount of moderating your DJ will do, and things like that. Also, I found them to be great to deal with! Another company I dealt with was extremely pushy which was a major turn off for me, so I was great to get the opposite experience with Adagio.
Thanks for the recommendation! If you don't mind me asking, are they very expensive?
I really liked my DJ, Rick Gmitro of a good flow productions. I booked him before he started his own company so I am not sure of his new prices, plus I knew him from College at St. Thomas.
He is a really nice guy, easy to work with and did an excellent job at our wedding, my friends say it was one of the best weddings they have been to and it was because of the DJ.
Good luck and let me know if you use him. Tell him it is Jennifer from June 28th.
We are using nightlife entertainment, so far they've been great. I had a one-on-one with my DJ to talk things through (not something they offer, I just asked when the DJ called) It's about $700 for 6 hours I think (I got a deal at the last minute, when we decided to hire them b/c of a cancelation).
We are thinking of hiring Midwest Sound and Lights, but lately they have been SUPER pushy for us to book!! They are pushy as in calling me, I dont answer and then calling back again but blocking their number (I answer blocked calls because I always think it's my sister calling from a diff. country..uugh!!!!). I have been looking for someone else, since I have been super annoyed with them, but no one seems to give me the same price deal! I was quoted $700 for light music from 5-7 and dj from 7-12..with a $50 travel fee!!! Any recommendations????
I highly highly recommend Adagio Entertainment!! www.adagioinc.com
Andrew was our dj and he did a superb job at our wedding!
Definitely avoid Instant Request DJ. They have horrible customer service skills and all in all did a really bad job at our wedding. So many things went wrong, I don't even know where to start, and when we addressed the issues, I was told I was being an irrational bride and that since I negotiated the cost of our package I didn't really care about entertainment.
I HIGHLY recommend Micheal Holtz at 2 The Maxx Entertainment. www.2themaxx.com
He was cheaper than the DJs in my hometown and traveled for free. He was super polite and did an AMAZING job at our wedding - the dance floor was packed the entire time. Just an all around good guy - he likes what he does and it shows. We met twice in person and he totally listened and executed all of our requests. I will recommend him to all of my friends - he was just fantastic!

Sorry, there are no users yet.
There are SO many dj's to choose from, and unfortunately I have ZERO recommendations from friends! Can anyone recommend a dj to use?
Thanks for your help!!!
