@sophio6: We thought all we wanted was someone to hit play too, but after realizing how much the DJ controls the reception and that he can really make or break the dancing portion of the night, we decided to hire someone who really knows what their doing. We are using Pure Energy Productions in Petaluma and are super excited to have them running the party and making sure the right music is played at the right time. Their website is a little outdated but they are great. Good luck!
I used Benomix in Santa Clara, I think he would travel, pricing was extremely reasonable and my entire reception was hopping at the end... (And I was totally the "mah on dancing" "who cares about a dj" "let's hit the ipod" type...)

I'm getting married in Marin County, and I was wondering if anyone had any DJ suggestions. My fiance and I were planning on doing an ipod reception, but we decided we need someone with experience to run the music. Ultimately, we want a very basic DJ who can just set up the speakers and hit play. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
