We decided to go with DJ Doug of Power Posse. My fiance knew of them from living in mystic where they are out of and also through being referred to him by literally every single vendor we met with! Does a complete 'surround sound' type set up with multiple speakers surrounding the reception and cocktail hour as well as a really awesome lighting system, controlled by an assistant, for the entire reception & dancing, and is there for 7 hours. He is definitely on the very pricey side compared to others we looked at, but for us it was definitely worth it. We've also heard that Chameleon Music & Sound is great and more on the reasonable side for price (his most expensive package is less than 1/2 of power posse) but he didn't have the lighting options we needed for our venue. Anyway.. feel free to message me and I'll tell you more about DJ Doug if you'd like!

This is who we are using. Joe is great. He's did my best friend's wedding and it was amazing! I use to work for a wedding dj servcie and I have to say, he was better than anyone we had. Give him a call and tell him Jason sent you. =)
we're using after hours DJ entertainment - http://www.afterhoursdj.com/. i am planning my wedding in CT while living in CA, and sal from After Hours spent 50 minutes with me and my fiance walking through the day and his recommendations. i speak with him on a monthly basis (he reaches out to me!) to make sure everything is being taken care of. couldnt recomment them more!

We've begun our search for a DJ, and i just wanted to see if any of you might have some good suggestions. We're looking for someone who plays a variety of different types of music- from 60s to the latest hits. Any names/tips would be appreciated. Also, what types of prices are you finding for their services?
