    Hi ladies-

Does anyone have any recs for a makeup artist or hairstylist in the area?  I usually do my own hair, but will not be thinking about it on my wedding day! Smile  I want to start trying out places and get comfy with someone way ahead of time.

    Thanks!

You might also have luck posting this on your local board.  You can find it here:

Ladies check out Up Do’s for I Do’s http://www.updosforidos.com they have a great team. There are others out there it depends on what you are looking for. Many times your local salon/spa will dedicate their time to you and your bridal party at the site of your choice. About Face Spa does travel and there are many others, also check on Wedding Wire and The Knot.

I am looking for the same thing in regard to hair styling but as far as a makeup artist I have a great option. Her name is Lori Nansi. She came to my house for a trial and I was VERY pleased with her work. She's awesome give her a call.

I even wrote an earlier post about her. Check it out.

    Here's her website: http://www.lorinansi.com/pressrelease.htm

@Prestigious Occasions FYI, Updos For I Do's declined my request for an African American hair stylist on Wedding Wire.

@reereegurl Do you have shots of your makeup trial? I checked out Lori's site a while ago but her example work on African American skin looked a little off so maybe its not her best?

@ejoyb yea updos for idos does not have much for African American woman when I contacted them for hair. I did a make up trial with them while at a wedding expo and it was ok but i guess you want a stylist and make up artist all in one.
