- Wedding: March 2014
I originally had posted that I was going to do tea soap favors for my wedding (and I still am!), but now I also want to do litte candy favors as well. I went to Michael’s and got some awesome 2×3 off-white boxes for $12 (for 100!), and I stopped by the dollar store on the way home to grab some random candy. I’m a budget bride, so having persononalized m&m’s or kisses with labels on them are not the thing for me, but having something nice still is.
My first inspiration was my recent obsession with washi tape (the reason I went to Michael’s). I stuffed the boxes with a little bit of blue tissue paper, and then started filling the boxes with a 6-piece mix of butterscotch, cinnamon, and strawberry hard candy. Then I closed them with a pattern of washi tape. Every box looks unique, even though they may be hard to open 🙂
What do you think? I thought having each box kind of unique was nice.
So – I’ve done some boxes already, but I’m going to make about 90. I just found a big box that of taffy that I got recently and now I was thinking about doing a mix of candy including taffy. Do all favors have to be the same? I’m sure it would be nice, but it’s just candy either way. Theoretically people should be happy that they are getting any kind of gift, I would hope!
