Lab diamonds can be nicer than mined diamonds because of the controlled conditions when they are made. However, colorless lab diamonds are still quite expensive at this point in time. You may be better off (price wise) buying a good quality second hand diamond.

Man made ones are flawless & colorless like a perfect diamond out of the groud would be. You can get them in color ranges like you could a diamond also. Diamonds color are graded D-Z D being colorless & the farther down the color grade you go the more yellow the diamond is.

You could go for moissy or asha!

Asha is a CZ coated with something to keep them from being like your regular CZ & are very diamond like. You can also get these in color, ect.
Moissanites are very beautiful as well. Check out betterthandiamond.com here to check out pics, ect –>

Plus moissanites & ashas are ALOT cheaper than man made diamonds. At the time those are pretty pricey like deathbydesign mentioned!

Man made diamonds are so expensive to make that most of them are .5 cts or less.  Above those sizes, I think it’s better to just go with a mined diamond, or another white stone like moissanite, Asha, white sapphire, etc.

Just FYI: “lab created diamonds” are not CZs, lab created diamonds are pure carbon (with trace elements if its colored), and have the same chemical structure as mined diamonds.  CZs have other chemicals in them besides carbon and have different optical qualities and hardness.
